I know that traditionally the turkey is supposed to be the star of Thanksgiving dinner. Not this year! Move over turkey, because this "White Truffle Macaroni & Cheese just stole the show!"
White Truffle Macaroni & Cheese
My favorite holiday side dish is and has always
been mac and cheese. I just gotta have it, and my family loves it! When I told
my hubs I made a few changes to my recipe this year he wasn't too happy. Well,
that was until he tasted it! He actually told me that this was the best
Macaroni & Cheese that he's ever eaten! “Drop the🎤”
1/2 cup sour cream
4 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
A dash of cayenne pepper
1 C half & half
1 C sharp white cheddar, shredded *1/4 C extra for topping, if desired
1 C aged gouda, shredded *1/4 extra for topping, if desired
1-2 tsp Truffletopia White Truffle Sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
1 10 ounces package of @aldentepastaco Carb Nada fusilli pasta cooked according to package instructions.
In a saucepan on medium-low, melt butter, add sour cream, cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Wisk in cayenne pepper, until thoroughly combined. Slowly stir in the half & half until combined. Add cheese and continue to stir until thoroughly melted. Next, add one teaspoon of Truffletopia White Truffle Sauce, whisk to combine. Taste the sauce and add another teaspoon of truffle sauce if desired, and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Next, combine the sauce and pasta, and transfer to an oven-safe serving dish. Top the macaroni and cheese with additional shredded cheese and place in a 350° F oven for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Optional to garnish with fresh chopped parsley. 𝙴𝙽𝙹𝙾𝚈!
